Who we are

Junior Church is a children ministry, for ages 2-10 that believes in creating a safe environment for children to build and sustain a loving and thriving relationship with the Lord. As they develop and grow spiritually in their personal walk with Christ, we will shepherd them through worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry and mission.

Our volunteers and leaders are committed to serve with great joy and passion, knowing they are influencing the next generation of Christ’s followers.

How do we do this: Mission

Children’s Ministry is to support the family and community in reaching kids and helping them become fully devoted followers of Christ.

We will shepherd them by providing:

  • a place with solid, Bible-based, innovative and relevant teaching, and strong leadership

  • a place where the music is contemporary and engaging that children leave humming the tunes and singing the words

  • a place where children are excited to go and have fun learning about God

  • a place where technology, arts and culture are incorporated to effectively teach and engage this generation

  • a ministry where children are intentionally guided into small groups where they are known and loved, and learn to work with each

In Children’s ministry we want to foster and promote behaviour and values that reflect the fruit of the spirit along with the CPBC’s mission statement of:

  • Love God

  • Love Others

  • Serve our Community

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23

Fruit of the Spirit

Being peacemakers by putting others first and praying for those in need

Being open to receiving God’s love for us, and demonstrating our love for Him by showing compassion toward others

Being thankful in every situation

Being patient and forgiving toward others, and learning to accept our differences

Self Control

Developing the habit of praying to God, reading His Word and obeying Him every day to help us do what is right at all times

Doing good without expecting anything in return

Choosing to obey God even when it is hard

Being ready to serve others with a gentle and kind attitude

Controlling our words and actions, with God’s help, as not to hurt or offend anyone

Children's Ministry Curriculum

The curriculum is based on the foundation of biblical principles, and incorporates the implementation of bible teaching for all age group, praise and worship and grass roots community activities (“Back to the basic” approach). A budget is available to purchase resources to support Children’s Ministry.
