Praise & Worship

Vision Statement

To have a spirit driven/filled praise and worship time that would lead into the appreciation of the Word preached during Sunday services, energizing the laity and ultimately bringing glory to the Lord Jesus Christ.

“O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together”

(Psalm 34:3).

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.  And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. (Colossians 3:16-17)

Purposes

1. Lord. (“Magnify the LORD.”) Praise and worship ministry will seek to magnify the Lord by the power and leading of the Holy Spirit.

2. Leader. David said, “O magnify the Lord with me”.  People involved in the Praise and worship ministry, "the leader and it's member" must understand the importance of worship, be sensitive to the leading and empowerment of the Holy Spirit and be skilled in leading others to worship and last but not least, lived a life of worship outside of the worship ministry.

3. Laity. “Let us exalt His name together”.  The Praise and worship ministry is to help the Laity (congregations) worship God more deeply and consistently (Spirit filled or true worship of our Almighty God).  Eventually, this would lead them to live a life of worship themselves outside of the church.

Ultimately, through Praise and worship leading (by the empowerment and sanctification of the Holy Spirit) Quality worshipers are developed thus in turn achieved God-honoring and God-glorifying worship services.
